With its eclectic mix of Spanish, French, African, Creole, Cajun, and American cultures, this vibrant city is yearning to be explored.
Founded in 1718, New Orleans' key tourist destination is the French Quarter, laden with old-world class and elegance. From its amazing wrought iron work to its beautifully-decadent southern mansions and wealthy history, New Orleans is truly a unique American city. Unlike most modern cities, New Orleans has retained it delicate charm. Street corner performers entertain you while you walk around soaking up the city's atmosphere. You can hear jazz musicians playing their instruments with so much passion, it draws you in like a fly to a web.

And then there is the food: crawfish, oysters, gumbo, mufaletta sandwiches, po boy sandwiches, you name it! If it’s spicy, they will have it here. When you have so many diverse and unique cultures wonderfully co-existing together, the culinary results are going to be divine! Emeril Lagasse has his restaurant in New Orleans. There are even a few places that have been open for more than a century. Across from Jackson Square (named after General Andrew Jackson, who fought the final battle of the War of 1812 here) is the famous Café du Monde, which has been serving its delicious coffee and beignets (fluffy pastries covered in powdered sugar) since the late nineteenth century!
